Bread in a Bag

Directions:

Makes two medium size loafs or one large

In plastic bag mix:
1 1/2 cups of very warm water
1 package of Rapid rise Yeast
2 T. sugar
2 T. butter
Close bag and mix these together with fingers until blended
Add: 1t.. Salt
1/2 cups all purpose flour
Close bag and knead and work the bag with your fingers to blend in ingredients
Add: 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour (or white flour for white bread)
Close bag and work dough until flour is well blended.
Add to bag: 1 cup of all- purpose flour to make soft dough
Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes
Spray dough with cooking spray: cover with plastic bag that you used let rest for 10 minutes. Punch down dough. Divide dough into two equal pieces;
Roll each to 11 by 7 inch rectangle: roll up tightly from short end; fold ends in as your roll dough up so that the size of your pan.
Pinch seams and ends to seal; place seam side down in one greased bread pan for a large Loaf and in tow greased bread loaf pans for smaller loafs.
Cover let rise in warm, draft free place until doubled in size, about 45 minutes
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Remove from pans spray with cooking spray on top of loafs. Or use shortening on a baggie and spread on tops of bread. Cool before cutting.
