½ stick of butter (or more)
*1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 large can of peaches or if home canned, 1 quart peaches (remove a little juice)
Melt butter in baking dish as the oven preheats. Meanwhile, mix flour, sugar, and then add milk. Pour this over the melted butter into the pan (do not stir). Then, add peaches, spreading them evenly over the batter, being careful not to stir. The crust will rise to the top as it bakes. Bake 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees in medium pyrex. Check center to make sure it isn’t gooey.
