Crescent Rolls

Combine:
3 1/2 c. flour
2 T. yeast
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. powdered milk

Add and stir well:
2 c. hot tap water

Then add:
2 eggs
1/3 c. oil

Let dough rest for 10 min.

Mix in 3 more cups of flour.

Knead for 5-10 min.  let rise until double.  Punch down and form into roll.  i usually divide the dough into 4 equal parts.  Roll them out into circles and spread butter on the circles.  Then cut each circle into 8 pie pieces with a pizza cutter.  Then, roll them each from the outside in to form a crescent roll.  Let them rise again and bake in a moderate oven (350-375) until golden brown.

These freeze and thaw really well!!!

*****I used this recipe to make ham and cheese roll ups and it was yummy!  Before rolling them up add a slice of ham and a slice of swiss cheese.  Then bake.  Just make sure your dough is rolled well and isn't really thick so it will cook all the way through.  Eat warm!
